Complete high quality figural bronze door lock set designed to mount on a narrow door, came off a wine cellar from a Connecticut home. It’s hand chased and very nicely carved, most likely one of a kind. This set is sturdy and well made with 3-D like paneled carved door knobs and hand carved fancy plates, one appears to be of a Griffin. When either of the knobs are turned 45 degrees a latch slides out to lock, turned the opposite way to unlock, very primitive in excellent condition with nice old finish and no parts to ware out like a more modern lock, designed to fit a door about 1”thick
Measurements: Backset is 2-5/8” {distance from center of knob to lock face} Griffin plate is 4-1/4” wide x 5-3/4” high. Victorian style plate is 6-1/4” x 2” Both knobs are 2-3/8”x 1-3/8” There are 4 holes for mounting griffin plate, two are on lock face side, two on griffin plate
